Sad Bastard, Emo Wave, Definite Article & Noun?

Man, I can't get enough of "the" stuff lately. All the "The" bands, the angry, the frantic, the elated and the desparate.. The Dears, The Stars, The Decemberists, The Features, The Coral, The Postal Service but not The The.. Though "Dogs of Lust" was a killer track. Is it because it has been so long since there has been a flood of interesting music, or is it just that these bands ARE really good and we'll be singing these songs on our porch as we fade away, leaving our high-tech rocking chairs to our grandchildren? Doesn't matter to me, it's just nice to have something to sink my teeth into again, and i am looking forward to those high-tech rocking chairs.
